Lucy Marie Pavlic, age 98 of Versailles, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, January 11, 2013.  Born October 9, 1914 in Rankin, she was a daughter of the late John and Antonia (Matelan) Brkovich.  She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph R. Pavlic, who died February 12, 1965; and by her brothers Michael, Steven, Frank, Robert, and Walter Brkovich and her sisters Sadie Culig and Katherine Balkovic.  She will be lovingly remembered and forever cherished by her children Daniel (Nancy) Pavlic of Elizabeth Township, Robert (Deborah) Pavlic of Franklin Park, and Annette (Allan) Weis of Versailles.  Sweet Grammy Lu will be greatly missed by her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren Jeffrey and Dee Pavlic (Joshua), Pamela and Charles Cubleic (Elizabeth, Victoria and Charles, Jr.) Karen and John Aromando (Christian and Daniel), Kristen and Todd Miller (Hayden, Gavin, and Paige), Brian Pavlic, Lisa and Daniel Petruzzi (Luke and Marina), Jennifer and David Petrick, Jr. (Ziarra and Zienna); and also a loving family of nieces and nephews.  She was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in McKeesport, the AARP, a lifetime member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #146 -- and its women's auxilliary and Pensioneer's Clubs -- and the Croatian Catholic Union.  Lucy retired after 25 years of faithful and devoted service to the former St. Denis Roman Catholic Church and School.  Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Noon on Monday, January 14, 2013 in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church with Father Vincent Velas officiating.  Burial followed at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Vue.
