Marian (Meharra) Filotei,  84, of Monroeville and formerly of Liberty Boro, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 in UPMC St. Margaret's Hospital.  Born April 28, 1928 in Liberty Boro, she was a daughter of the late Mike and Irene (Kaslo) Meharra.  A member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in McKeesport, Marian worked as a secretary and treasurer for her husband's John D. Filotei Plumbing and Heating of McKeesport.  She was a member of the Marian Society of the church, a past president of the PTA and the Mon Yough Plumbing Auxillary, a member of AARP #32, the Liberty Seniors, and the Auxiliary of the State Level.  Marian was also active with the Girl Scouts in Liberty Boro.  She joins her husband, the late John D. Filotei, who passed away in 1989.  Marian is survived by her sons, J. Daniel (Kathleen) Filotei of Broadview Heights, OH, Gregory (Ginger) Filotei of Monroeville, and Douglas (Anna) Filotei of McKeesport; her grandchildren, Kevin, Scott, Jeff, Greg, Lauren and Douglas Filotei and Moira Price; her great-grandson, Matthew Filotei; her sister, Eileen Bishop of St. Louis, MO; her brothers, Mike Meharra of Munhall and Dr. E.W. Meharra of Forest Hills;  nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 2-4PM with a 3:30 PM Parastas Service and from 6-8PM.  A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:30 AM in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, with Fr. Donald Voss officiating.  Procession and burial will follow to Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
