Donald "Birdseed" Jo Baird, 79, of Clairton, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was retired from the City of Clairton street department and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Clairton. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of American Legion Daniel Keffer Post #75 of Clairton and Woodland Terrace Reunion Committee. Born February 21, 1934 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Fermor Elwood Baird and Mary (Heston) Baird. He is survived by a sister, Lucille Pillsbury of Raleigh, NC; nieces and nephews. A wake and memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 in the American Legion Daniel Keffer Post #75, 660 Miller Avenue Avenue, Clairton, PA 15025 from 1PM to 4PM.  Memorial contributions may be made to: American Legion Daniel Keffer Post #75.

To one of my best friends, CHS 1952 classmate and baseball teammate. I will miss you. You were a great ballplayer and the most competitive I played with. Rest in peace.
